Central Florida schools giving free meals to students
Districts across Central Florida are providing free meals to students.
The schools are providing both breakfast and lunch.
District staff members will pass out the meals in a drive-thru setting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The students must take their meals home to eat them.Nearly 50 schools will be offering the meals starting Monday. The meals are not only for students who qualify for free or reduced cost lunch -- any student can get access to a meal.
Those in need can text FLKIDSMEALS to 211-211 to find their closest participating Summer BreakSpot location. They can also call 211 to talk with someone for additional locations.
